Self Care Saturday

How often do we actually take the time to care for ourselves?  I mean really set aside a block of time for self care?  For me, my Monday through Friday grind starts at 5:15 a.m. so there is little time for meaningful self care unless I get up earlier.  For me that is not desirable as I covet what little sleep I get at night.

Today is Saturday and there is nothing on the calendar.  Sometimes you just need a day with no obligations.  I decided it was going to be Self Care Saturday for Wendy.  What a perfect opportunity to use my new spa products from doTerra.  My spa products consist of  a Detoxifying Mud Mask, Exfoliating Body Scrub, and Replenishing Body Butter .  I included a link for each of these products so you can get more information for yourself.

In the shower I used the body scrub on my face, arms, and legs.  The scrub is not harsh at all.  It gently exfoliates the skin and makes it feel soft.  After my shower, I used the mud mask on my face and neck.  You don’t need a lot, only about a dime size amount.  Leave the mask on for about 5 minutes.  I felt a little tightening as the mask dried.  After I washed it off,  my face and neck felt very smooth.  Lastly came the body butter.  I used this on my chest, arms, and legs.  It is extremely moisturizing.  After I finished my spa routine, my skin felt rejuvenated and I felt refreshed (mentally).  It didn’t take that long and was well worth it.

I had my morning coffee outside while I gazed at my wild flower garden and watched my birds feed. Each year my wild flower garden is a pleasant mystery.  I never know what’s going to pop up.  This year it came back two fold .

I just wanted to share my Self Care Saturday with you.  Hopefully you can take a little time to do something for yourself.  It’s so important.

I have been using essential oils for about 3 years now and I am a Wellness Advocate with doTERRA.  If you would like more information you can click on my website link http://www.mydoterra.com/wendykernmurphy

Thanks for reading,

XOXO  Wendy
